L&T-Chiyoda’s entry in the ‘Discipline Specific’ category was adjudged as “The Best” amongst various entries received from Intergraph 3D modelling system users worldwide.
L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering (LTHE) won the SAP ACE Award for implementing Project PACE ‐ eSourcing Portal (ARIBA) across the company. Over 140 companies had sent their nominations for SAP India’s ACE Awards.
In 2010, LTHE had received the SAP ACE award for Customer Excellence for the ‘Best Run Engineering, Construction & Operations (ECO)’ for neat IT implementation in a fabrication facility that supports ECO customer needs.

The British Safety Council Sword of Honour represents the pinnacle of achievement in the world of health and safety management. The Sword of Honour awards aim to recognise excellence in health and safety management.
Modular Fabrication Yard, Sohar, Oman (L&T‐MFY) of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering was awarded the ‘Sword of Honour’ for the year 2014 for securing the maximum five stars in the British Safety Council’s health and safety management audit and demonstrating excellent standards of health, safety and environmental management across the business to an independent panel of experts.
L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering won the ‘Project Project of the Year’ Award, instituted instituted by the Project Management Institute India (the Indian chapter of PMI, USA) for the Process‐cum‐Living Quarter Platform (PLQP) Project of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC). The award was presented on September 11, 2014 at Hyderabad.
The aromatics complex at Mangalore, executed by L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering on a turnkey basis for ONGC‐Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited was adjudged the second best project of the year by Project Management Institute, India (the Indian chapter of PMI, USA). The award was presented at Hyderabad on 11th September, 2014.
The British Safety Council announced the winners of its 2014 International Safety Awards, to recognise and honour the achievements of organisations in keeping their workplaces and workers healthy and safe. All three yards of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering at Hazira, Kattupalli in India and Sohar in Oman and
Export Gas Compression Facility Upgrade project of Dolphin Energy Limited in Qatar, qualified in the Merit category. The International Safety Awards relate to the health and safety management at a specific site or business unit.
L&T Hydrocarbon won ‘Golden Peacock Occupational Health & Safety Award’ for 2013 presented by the Institute of Directorates. The jury was chaired by Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member, UN Human Rights Commission. Mr. Kuldip Goel, VP‐Corporate Affairs & Mr. Jeewan Mahadik – Head‐HSE, received the award on behalf of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering at the function held at New Delhi.
L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering won the prestigious Intergraph Golden Valve INDIA Award 2013 at the Rolta & Intergraph Technology Conference 2013, in December 2013 for its Engineering Centre in Mumbai. The award was conferred for Photo‐Realism. The Mirror‐Like Reflection image of the Cooling Tower area of GNFC, Bharuch Project, which was created through PDS and SPR Intergraph Intergraph software software won laurels laurels in the category.
Teleos, in association with “The Knowledge Network” declared L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering winner in three categories of MAKE Global (Independent Operating category), Make Asia and Make India. The prestigious MAKE award in the field of Knowledge Management has three levels: MAKE India, MAKE Asia and MAKE Global. L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering has won MAKE Global 4 times, MAKE India 6 times and MAKE Asia 5 times.
L&T‐Chiyoda (LTC) – a joint venture of L&T and Chiyoda Corporation, Japan, engaged in hydrocarbon mid & downstream engineering, won the National Award for Excellence in Cost Management instituted by the prestigious Institute of Cost Accountants of India on August 22, 2013. LTC won the First Prize in the category ‐ 'Private Service Sector (Medium)'.
This is the third occasion that LTC has won top honours in this competition. Earlier, LTC had bagged the first prize in 2008 and 2009.
L&T Hydrocarbon’s Modular Fabrication Facility (MFF‐Hazira) has won the First prize (Platinum award) for Safety Systems Excellence for Manufacturing by The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for 2013. The award was received at a glittering ceremony held in New Delhi by Mr.H.T.Naik, Head, MFF‐Hazira, from Mr.Kodikunnil Suresh (Union Minister for Labour & Employment), along with Mr.V. Perumal, (Head‐HSE, MFF Hazira) and Mr. Naresh Dhir (Head‐Manufacturing, MFF Hazira).

The event was part of the Year in Infrastructure 2013 Conference, a global gathering of leading executives
in the world of infrastructure design, construction and operations.
L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering was awarded the ‘Infrastructure Excellence Award’ presented by the leading business TV channel – CNBC TV18 for the successful execution of the world’s longest heated and insulated pipeline from Barmer in Rajasthan to Salaya in Gujarat & Rajasthan Northern Area Development Project. This prestigious award was instituted by CNBC TV18 to acknowledge acknowledge the achievements achievements of ‘nation builders’ builders.
L&T‐Valdel Engineering Limited (LTV) has won recognition for engineering several of India’s landmark hydrocarbon projects. The most recent was the highly successful MHN Process Platform and Living Quarters Project.
In 2012, the Indian Chemical Council (ICC) honoured LTV with the award for excellence in Chemical Plant Design & Engineering of the MHN project.
L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering (LTHE) won the ‘Distinguished Project Award’ presented by the Project Management Institute, USA, for excellent project management skills in the successful execution of ONGC’s BCP‐B2 Project in the South Bassein Gas Field (North West of Mumbai).
The project also won the “Infrastructure Excellence Award’’, instituted by leading business channel CNBC TV18. The channel showcases exceptional projects and recognises companies that contribute to infrastructure development.
